Angels de Mari

The Angels de Mari make their home on the planet Flumen Labrum.
The Chapter is a Codex Deviant chapter, but is staunchly loyal to the Emperor of Mankind.

The battle doctrine of the Angels de Mari consists primarily of a three step attack method. Initial strike comes from, fliers, skimmers and jump infantry leading the attack, targeting hardpoints of the enemy, they are then swiftly followed by the battle line troops in their transports, along with their battle tanks, followed by fortifying units to begin setting up their own defensive lines to thwart enemy counter assaults.
Most of the chapter was already engaged in exterminating a genestealer cult that had taken control of a nearby world when Dante sent out the call for the Sons of Sanguinius to return to their father's homeworld, but Chapter Master Carlo and the Chief Librarian immediately set off with their Sanguinary Guard, and two of their ancient dreadnoughts to assist their parent chapter. Carlo and Vednattori arrived after all of the welcoming ceremonies had ended, but were not bothered by it. Instead, they were overcome by the feeling that they had returned home, despite having never set foot in this sub system before.
Like most of the Sons of Sanguinius, the Angels de Mari engage in artistic pursuits to help them maintain control over themselves and the flaw. Unlike their brothers in other chapters, they tend to keep their armor simple and utilitarian with minimal adornment. Each year on Sanguinalia the Angels de Mari take the various works of art they create to be distributed amongst the population of Flumen Labrum. Gifts that remind the populace that the Emperor and his Angels protect.
Their home world being in Imperium Nihilus, Chapter Master Carlo began breaking doctrine and tradition early on, taking control of the his sub sector's defense forces, and organizing them into one force under his command. This he felt safe doing knowing the issues with communication and travel, but still he made sure receive Regent Commander Dante's blessings to shield him from any attempts the Inquisition might make to thwart his efforts to protect the sub sector.
