Imperial Pride

The Imperial Pride is the Pride Group directly descended from Araxis Fulvian. As the founders of both the Araxis Empire, and later the Union, the Imperial Pride have operated as leaders, policymakers, lawmakers, and figureheads of the mighty Union since it was little more than a warring City-State. Virtually all of the Global Union's governing, legal, military, and civil institutions are a result of the Kunshu. As each generation of new Imperial Fifians reaches maturity, they are brought into the Kunshu. The Kunshu are and have been, essentially the rulers of the Global Union since its inception. They are an unusual Pride Group in that its members do not usually leave upon reaching sexual maturity to form new Pride Groups. If a member of the Imperial Pride does wish to move outside the Pide, it is usually arranged with one of the Heldenklasse Prides. Kunshu are the best and brightest of the Imperial Pride, selected at maturity by means of an extensive series of tests and trials. If an individual is successful and demonstrates the requisite qualities, they are inducted into the Kunshu. The very first member of this prestigious organisation was Araxis Fulvian himself. As his Empire began to grow throughout the Hollow Valley Region, Araxis inducted members of his Pride Group into the roles of leadership, and the Kunshu was born. Throughout their long history, the Imperial Pride has employed the best tutors and accepted only the brightest and strongest individuals into their Pride. Genetic diversity within the Imperial Pride is lower than other Fifian Prides, but the natural diversity Fifians are capable of has assisted them to avoid any detrimental health effects of interbreeding.
