Avaquili (Ava-Quil-i)

The White Host is renowned for its out-of-the-box thinking and unusual tactics. There are many branches of intelligence gathering and processing, and one of the most secretive is that of the Avaquili.
Born of individuals most Fifians would discard at birth, the school of the Avaquili is believed to have come about because of one powerful individual in particular: Seren Fulvian. Seren ruled the Araxis empire as head of the Kunshu during the great Southern Border Wars of the 410's BU. She produced a larger than average litter during her procreation phase and one of her children was born Resterole. Legend has it, Seren, could not bring herself to kill the infant and ordered the Imperial Pride to raise it in secret.
In time, the Resterole child demonstrated its unique abilities as a Resterole Mindus and Seren laid the foundations for the Avaquili. A special school that sought out Resterole children and trained them in pattern recognition and strategy, the Avaquili is an oddity that predated the creation of the White Host by centuries. Seren herself was both feared and respected by the tribes of the Hollow Valley region; as brutal in battle, as she was magnanimous in victory, plenty of Kenshu believed that the true secret of her successes was due to the insights the Avaquili provided her.
After Seren's death, the Avaquili grew in both scope and secrecy. Many in the Imperial Pride saw it as both a point of shame and one of honour. No one was willing to risk tainting the legacy of the great Seren Fulvian, but there were plenty that thought of the Resterole Mindus as freaks and oddities. When the Law Bringers were formed 245 cycles later, some Kenshu wondered if perhaps the Avaquili would be better served as a branch of law enforcement. Fortunately, wiser heads prevailed and the Avaquili were kept as their own organisation - that is until the formation of the White Host.
The formation of the White Host in the decycles before the Global War marked a turning point in Avaquili history. No longer was being a Resterole Mindus a thing to be ashamed of. Central Command saw the potential of the Avaquili being absorbed into the Intelligence machinery of the White Host. During these heady cycles, important figures within the Avaquili came into prominence. The Host refocused the Avaquili away from simple strategy and forecasting and put them to work on grand-scale plans that would ultimately change the face of the Union, and Fife forever. The first and perhaps greatest beneficiary of the Avaquili joining the White Host was the Host itself. Its structure, protocols, and scope are largely a result of the Avaquili insights.
