Fate Keepers
The Fate Keepers are an interplanar race of beings. They are shrouded in mystery and little is understood about them.
Similar scenarios with the Fate Keepers have been documented in several planes of existance. They never seem to do harm to any other than their quarry, and their quarry has almost always done something to upset the balance of time.
All Fate Keepers are various blends of flesh and machine. The flesh elements are always dusky brown to balck in color.
The metallic elements of Fate Keepers are bronze and gold in color. Descriptions often mention exposed gears and other metalic elements.
It is not known if the mechanical elements of their form are biologically intented or some sort of cybernetic add on. No adolescent Fate Keepers have ever been identified.
The victims that the Fate Keepers come to claim are always carried away into the sky, dead or alive. More often than not, their victims seem to choose a violent end on the ground before they are taken. It is unknown if the victims are compelled by the Fate Keepers to do so or not, though the commonality is worrisome. There are at least 5 historical records of victims being taken alive, carried above the clouds, screaming the the entire way.
Origins
While little is known about the true origins of the Fate Keepers, the first time they are documented in known history is part of the Compendium of Beings, written by the Gerigor Volchain, a professor at the College of Dawn. His writings go on to explain that eventually Provost Qi'ilong brought the Fate Keepers to meet with Professor Kerrigold. Upon seeing them, he screamed and ran away, throwing himself from the window of the fourth story. The macabe turn of events didn't seem to bother the Fate Keepers. They simply collected the body and lifted it into the sky with them, flying away without any further communication.Fate Keepers
They arrived with their golden wings glinting in the light of dusk. At first we thought they were winged humaniods, similar to Aasimar. Closer inspection revealed an impressive amount of mechanical components. There were three of them. All had mechanical wings. Two had mechanical arms. One had a creaking metallic torso. All had the same hollow eyes that glowed a pale blue, almost white.
They did not speak in the traditional sense. It was as if they forced their thoughts and feelings into our minds. Provost Qi'ilong asked me to attend their meeting in hopes that I could illuminate him on their origins or desires. Alas, I was quite useless in this regard. When I tried to ask, one of them clicked and clacked as it turned towards me. I received a reply directly into my mind, one that I will never forget. "None can avoid their fate. This is our mission. No other goal matters. Give us the one who hides from fate."
It took us several more hours to discern who they wanted, and even longer to find out why. The Fate Keepers, as I have decided to call them, visited because of the disastrous experimentation of Professor Kerrigold. While he had told us that the tower exploded after an alchemical spill, it seems he was attempting to muck about with time, and the Fate Keepers took great exception to that.

Basic Information
Anatomy and Morphology
Descriptions of Fate Keepers are vague and often contradictory. While they always arrive in sets of three, it does not always appear to be the same three. All Fate Keepers are various blends of flesh and machine. The flesh elements are always dusky brown to balck in color.
The metallic elements of Fate Keepers are bronze and gold in color. Descriptions often mention exposed gears and other metalic elements.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
There are no verified reports of Fate Keepers ever communicating in a spoken lanuage. All communication seems to be through a sort of psychic link that they facilitate. It is unknown if this is a bioloical ability or a magical one.Genetics and Reproduction
Reports of Fate Keepers have enough variation and span a long enough time frame that it is reasonable to presume that there are many of their kind. While the vast majority of sightings have been female-presenting entities, that is not always the case.It is not known if the mechanical elements of their form are biologically intented or some sort of cybernetic add on. No adolescent Fate Keepers have ever been identified.
Behavior and Psychology
Any time they are seen, Fate Keepers seem to be single mindedly focused on their mission. It is unknown where they gain their information or what organizational structure they adhere to, but they are always right. They come to collect those who have attempted to disrupt the flow of time, which they extend to mean disrupting fate. Various historical reports seem to allude that they do not differentiate if the attempts to disrupt time were disrupting the users own fate or that of others. The instigator is the one "removed."The victims that the Fate Keepers come to claim are always carried away into the sky, dead or alive.
