The Dozen

The Dozen are the 12 Deities deemed good or otherwise not malevolent by the people of Ferocia.

Cosmological Views

In the beginning The Forgemaiden Mellisan created Ferocia, she showed her new creation to the gods of the sun the moon and the stars and the three fellin love with it immediately. The Light Mother Therai, The Guiding Light Archidius, and The Seeker Nessis pulled the sun, the moon and the stars around this new creation to protect it from the chaos that lay beyond.

These three then had two children The Malestrom Kallista, who brought oceans and storms to Ferocia, and The Law Arbiter Calderax who brought law and order to Ferocia, both in physics and later legislation when there was intelligent life to uphold it.

Kallista fell in love with Mellisan and they had two children. The First Bard Cavian, who brought Love and Beauty and Art to the people of Ferocia. And Queen of the Nine Zenara who wanted to be in charge of Ferocia and was banished to the Nine Hells where she is currently trapped. Webspinner Mordren heard the Nine Hells had a new leader and was immediately taken with Zenara. The two influence Ferocia by seeding ideas of domination and deceit in the minds of the weak.

Meanwhile Cavian was seduced by The Tempting King Kazire and many speculate the demon king's sway over addiction may have manipulated the god of love. Cavian and Kazire produced two offspring; Prince of Shadows Vaius who taught people how to take advantage of darkness and luck usually for the means of theft. And The Avaricious Sazire who created dragons, and prays on all people who feel greed.

The Broken One Zaidi and Lady Decay Hacari saw this innocent new creation and were both tempted to play with it, but the barrier of the sun the moon and the stars kept them out. They couldn't personally interfere so their children The Bloom Keeper Meneres and The Huntress Domitia were sent in their stead. Meneres and Domitia brought plant life and animals to Ferocia as benevolent creations not knowing their mothers intended to twist these creations to their own ends.

Domitia became enamoured with Calderax and the two balanced each other out. They had a child together The Ruiner Halius who took joy in destroying anything they could reach. Domitia and Calderax made the difficult choice to lock their child away in Pandemonium.
Vesperr The Fae King loved the people of Ferocia and wove strings of magic into The Weave allowing people of Ferocia to tap into it, and their partner at the time The Overseer Ventera brought death to the world to keep everything in check, and to give life a purpose to living things. Vesperr and Ventera had a child, Ricta The Swift Serpent , who created snakes and poison and the serpentine race Yuan-ti. Her creations brought out a blood thirstiness in her that her parents feared causing them to seperate, Vesperr ran away into seclusion while Ventera was moving on with Meneres. Meneres could not abide Ricta forcing Ventera to send her away to Acheron.

Therai, Archidius and Nessis created people to populate Ferocia, The First Generation. It is unknown why The Dozen didn't interefere to save The First Generation from whatever fate befell them. What is known is that Therai, Archidius and Nessis came together after The Collapse and created The Second Generation to Inherit Ferocia.
