I'm an artist that attempted art school before mental illness said "no can do buddy" which turned out to be a gift in disguise as the course really wasn't worth the money. Before dropping out I got into DnD 5e got the courage to run my own game and haven't looked back since. I've always been into world building, ever since I was little I gravitated towards the idea of characters and places that weren't bound by the expectations and rule of our world. Now world building to me is how I challenge myself I use it as an exercise to look at existing concepts and ask "but what if it was different?" Even in genres of fantasy that are fundamentally separate from our world as humans we fall into patterns and end up with stereotypes of imaginary things. So my world building focus is stepping away from comfort, experimenting and seeing what wonderful things come of it
