Session 13

General Summary

The party was guided to the ruined laboratory by Cadence who did not follow them inside so she could look after Dawn. The party walked by a sculpture of a Gnoll Bust that's eyes flashed as they passed it. Descending into the laboratory they saw a mural depicting the sun with a line heading towards it and away from it. 
The party inspected 4 rooms before progressing. A dormitory, a workshop, a library and a Chapel. The library held a letter for a loved one speaking of ending a war soon. The Chapel held cobwebs and spider iconography. The workshop held schematics and engineering components. 
Moving on the party snuck up on the other adventurers they heard about and after witnessing them open the door to the Activation Lab they attacked by surprise. The fight was gruesome many of the other adventurers falling unconscious, causing the Aasimar to become emotionally distressed and cast a fireball in the small corridor causing Hallos to gain some awful internal injury and Ocean to lose their entire left arm. In a fit of vengeance Ocean broke the Aasimar's ribs, and Hallos pulled out their black dagger to cast Haste on themself. As the fight fit bad Ace stabilised the opposing paladin who in their unconscious state was obviously a changeling. The other party took this as a sign of peace and stopped attacking, Ocean and Hallos did not agree to peace and kept attacking.
The fight ended as Ace ran through the door to the next room and the rest followed and both groups joined forces for to fight the 3 Gnolls and 1 Gnoll/Spider abomination. As they fought the Gnolls did not fight back and were focused on their ritual involving the huge dark crystal in the center of the lab. The fight took out many of the Gnolls but one Gnoll remained focus on the crystal causing it to shoot a beam of light up into the ceiling and shake the whole building. The light expanded blinding everyone as rubble fell and a deafening rumble and explosion could be heard. Everything went dark.
And the party found themselves before the Gnoll bust statue once more as its eyes flashed. 
Finding all of their energy restored, injuries gone and resources replenished the party concluded they had been sent back in time. With this knew knowledge they rushed ahead to the other adventurers not provoking them this time and quickly aiding them in defeating the Gnolls before they could activate their crystal.
I'm the aftermath they questioned the Dwarf, Azina, away from the scrying orb Hallos could detect. They concluded that Xendros cannot be trusted and that these other adventurers are good people. 
Hallos concluded the Chapel was dedicated to Webspinner and found several books about her and her religion and cults. Hallos also found a book titled 死 と破壊 aka Death and Destruction. Which lead Hallos to realise they were looking for the Skull of Destruction.
Jasper summoned some pixies to assist in looting the place, and also used Divination to seek answers about the Skull. She discovered that the Skull was not in fact the Skull of a creature, or a replica of one, but was the entire building they were currently inside. 
After sharing info with the other adventurers they decided best course of action was to bring their benefactor here to destroy the Skull of Hakai. After that they need to deal with Xendros, Ace wants to play it cool until they aquire their purchases, and after that is cool with murdering her. The others has no issue with this and are debating how to go about convincing her they still trust her and that they didn't actually uncover the Skull. While they figure it out they are staying with the Tabaxi Clan, and the other adventurers are camping inside the Skull.
