Nightshroud

In the sky of Ferkathas, nearly half of the interior sphere is filled with a dimensional cloud where the Prime Plane merges with the Shadowfel. This cloud or dimensional space is referred to as the Nightshroud.
The Nightshroud is roughly hemispherical in shape, nebulous at its borders, and rotates around the Sun. This produces a day/night cycle that is not unfamiliar, including gradual transitions between day and night time.
When the Nightshroud blocks the Sun from view, it appears as an inky black color—but speckled with mysterious starlights. When the Nightshroud is behind the Sun and forms a backdrop for it, it appears as a pale blue color.
Flying through the Nightshroud is known to be a recipe for accidentally entering the Shadowfel, or perhaps the Plane of Air.
