Veiled Manor
Purpose / Function
Serves as the members-only meeting, training, and work area for the Veiled Guild.
History
Originally built as a pirate shrine to the human god of wealth, Pyriade, Veiled Manor was originally a small temple and two separate buildings. During one of the sacks of Grasmere, the surrounding buildings were demolished but the Pyriadean temple was spared. Viewing it as divine, the pirates living in Grasmere rebuilt a manor house around the temple. Over the years as the building switched hands often, the structure was remodeled to remove most of the signs of its religious past, except for the large statue of Pyriade which remains in the first floor atrium to this day.
Early in the Tower Kingdom's reign, members of the Veiled Guild took refuge in the manor home and when the Guild earned its recognition by the Kingdom, it was converted into an official Guildhall, although it has been closed to non-members for the past decade or more.
