From the Shadows
Recently "Ink" Norgo was arrested in the middle of a standard intel-gathering B&E. Thing is, Ink is a member of the Veiled Guild. Now, she didn't talk, but she happens to be cozy with the local Pillarhand Magistrate, Judge Wappelode. The judge "pulled some strings" (they falsified release paperwork and destroyed a prison transfer request, in fact) to get her freed, mistaking Ink's flirtatious interactions as genuine.
Ink isn't completely sure of the Judge's motivations, but the Judge is already married and has a lot to lose. Wappelode has requested Ink meet them at possibly the worst bar in Grasmere (The Stewed Prune) but Ink isn't sure she should keep the date. To make things worse, the arrest was way too coincidental. Just before she was improbably interrupted, she had found evidence of corruption inside the Grasmerean halls of power. She's paranoid someone knows that she knows and is trying to silence her. She's half afraid that person might be Wappelode.
Meanwhile, Ink is being followed by others in the Veiled Guild who wonder about her preferential treatment, the extent of her relationship with the Judge, and whether or not she made some kind of testimony-based deal to get out of her sentence.
