Forgecarvers

An ancient, secretive offshoot of the Shapers' Guild, Forgecarvers trace their order back to Morlun Onyxcarver, a Shaper Forgelord from way back in the Age of Prosperity. Onyxcarver is remembered for unleashing the Forgeplague spell that decimated the Shapers Guild, but Forgecarvers recognize that the unique blend of prowess with the Stoneforges and an affinity for working with magical energies while crafting items is what made Onyxcarver famous and powerful at the time. The tragedy of the Forgeplauge caused the Dwarven Kingdom to put a soft ban on the crafting of magic-infused items that lasted centuries. However, the Forgecarvers continued developing magic items, mostly for use equipping their elite protection force, the Valorant. The Forgecarvers were betrayed by the Valorant during the Shadow War and much of their knowledge was stolen, destroyed, or lost. Recently, Forgecarvers have attempted to replicate some of the pioneering work done by Onyxcarver and others.
