The Scar of the Cataclysm

Many years ago a cataclysmic war ragged in the region between what is now Theoraas and New Theoraas. Back then there was no New Theoraas, this was before the two nations had a bitter rivalry. War ragged over that region, the old nations wanted the land. Armies clashed, nations bickered, but it looked as though there was no end in sight. This bloody war was tearing the landscape apart with dead left were they lie, spells overcharging the arcane magic within the region. At some point during and intense clash a blinding flashes erupted from points throughout the region. This left many injured and even more dead, and left the area a barren waste devoid of magic and life. Even today Arcane Scholars are still studying to understand what caused this destructive event that killed much of the armies and native folk.
The area was once home to a small territory but when the war broke out the kingdom was trampled by shifting front-lines. Some of the old ruins are still standing but few seldom approaches these ruins, as many were used as bunkers and fortresses during the war, for both bystanders and infantry. There has been outbreaks of magical disease and strange creatures appearing from the ashes of ruins. Many rumor that it is a vengeful spirits of the folk that lived in the lands trying to repel the interlopers.

Fauna & Flora

Local Flora and fauna have been wiped out due to the event. This wasteland extends into the upper layers of the forest.

Natural Resources

Most natural resources that remain are non-biological, such as metals and stone, though many necromancers and scavengers venture to this region to reap the riches from the long dead.
