The Maldovan Clan

The House of Maldovan - sometimes referred to as the Maldovan Clan, is a ruthless merchant family. They have a big influence on Rosemoor. Thanks to their economical aid to the throne of Faeneril and the nobility of Rosemoor, the members of the Maldovan family are considered counts and countesses. All members of the family wear a signet ring with the Maldovan crest upon it.

Public Agenda

The leader of the Maldovan family, Grigori Moldovan, has only one thing in mind: to secure his family's wealth. Preferably increase it, too. Everything has a weight in gold, according to him.

Assets

The family owns vast amounts of land, both fields, lakes as well as forests, outside of Rosemoor, with their seat of power being their own home, the Moldovan mansion square in the middle of these lands. In addition to owning lands, which they use for agricultural purposes, they also trade and export large amounts of resources. This has made them incredibly wealthy, something which has let them mingle freely with the high society of Rosemoor, Queen Nameless and her Court.

History

Several generations of Maldovans have called Rosemoor and the Moldovan Mansion their home. The first Moldovan to ever set foot in the capital was a waver merchant, intent on making his fortunes within the city. Needless to say, he succeeded, making the Moldovan family one of the wealthiest families in the country. The family is well-known all over Faeneril and has a long history of coming to her aid when she's in dire need of extra funds.

The immediate family members are all very highly educated within the arts of economics, finances, trading, language, speech and whatever else they deem necessary to be a successful merchant.

Controlling such large amounts of fertile land, it is only natural that the biggest export of the Maldovan family is crops of every thinkable variety. That is the foundation of their income. The second thing they focus on is weapons - swords, wands, staffs, bows. Whatever weapon is needed, the Maldovan Clan offers it. On top of this, they also make and sell finery such as jewelry.
