Grandmane Keep

Grandmane Keep is a manor that is located in Malvyir east of the city walls. It has its own military fort dedicated to Alliance movements. It currently belongs to Wrath and Barb Grool.

Entrance

To the left are stables, protected by an iron guard being controlled by two dwarves. There are 24 fillable areas for horses and other steeds. The main gate is guarded by 2 elven battlemages, 4 elven rangers, and 3 dwarven guards that stay in front. The gate is made of steel, and the bars are three inches thick, with extremely sharp ends. The walls are made of granite stone, and there is a moat and a drawbridge. The moat has a few crocodiles in it. On the ends of the walls, there are a few runes that, when activated by the mages, summon Fire Elementals. Near the gates is Fort Staalgrad, a fort used to protect Grandmane Keep and also send out soldiers for wars and recon missions. The current owners do not own Fort Staalgrad as it is owned by the Alliance.

Grand Hall

A grand hall, with the throne at the end. The throne has a red velvet cover, and a golden base. There is a figurehead of a lion at the top, and it is made of gold. The floor around the throne is made of marble, and the wall behind it is made of granite. On the sides of the throne are two small streams of water that empty from the walls and flow into the walls to the side of the throne. On the same walls that the water flows into, there are stairs that lead to a little walkway that has two doors: one to the servants room, and another to armorer. In the middle of the walkway is a door that leads to the back court of the keep. In the hall to the throne, there is a bard, a jester, and a few servants doing work. On the sides of the halls are doors that lead to the front courtyard, and the other leads to kitchens. On the sides of the velvet carpet that marks the path, there are longtables with silver platters to eat on. Guests, nobles, and others will be served by servants.

Kitchens

Inside the kitchens are three alchemists, two soup chefs, a master chef, and a soux chef. The chefs masterpiece is Braised Leeks with Lamb Salad. It is a simple, large kitchen with good equipment. Every thursday afternoon, the alchemist party is sent out to retrieve ingredients for potions and food.

Armory

In the armory, there are soldiers that work at the guards posts and the fort, as well as an armorer that specializes in heavy armor.

Servants Room

In this quite spacious room, there are 80 servants. 23 work for the kitchens, 17 work in the stables, 30 work in the fort, 10 work in the armory, 10 work in the halls, and 20 work in the courts and ballroom.

Ballroom

In the ballroom is a marble floor with lanterns and lamps hung on the walls. In the middle of the dance floor is a very large, golden and diamond studded chandelier that lights up the entire room. The ceiling is about 20 metres high, as high as the sistine chapel. The walls are smooth stone with golden velvet drapes decorating the corners. There are large, glass windows that decorate the walls. There are short tables that are near the windows, and three long tables in the rest areas of the ballroom. Up the stairs, past the dance floor, is a relaxing area with a fire place, red velvet couches, and end tables with small silver plates and candlesticks.

Courts

Both of the courts are the same. They have small stone paths that lead to fountains that depict dragons, swans, and lions. Underneath the water of the fountains are lights that glow brightly at night. There are fireflies in jars that hang from posts, and there are birds that live in the courtyards. There are fruit trees, such as apple trees and pear trees, that decorate the courtyard. The grass is kept by servants.

Fort Staalgrad

This fort is made of granite with steel fortifications, a moat, a drawbridge, and elven rangers protecting the fort. Inside is an armory that holds all the soldiers weapons and armors, and also a barracks for the soldiers to sleep and train.

Architecture

It is a stone building adorned with gold platings and stylish design. Outside the building, statues depicting heroes and beasts line the street that leads to it. It features banners of the Alliance symbols and many different colorful flags.
