-Heavy Shield: Models equipped with a heavy shield may re-roll all failed saves.
Starstave: This unit gains +2 to casting rolls if it attempts to cast a spell from the Lore of Stars.  

Special Rules


Chanter: At the start of the magic phase, a unit with chanter may elect to not attempt to cast any spells, in which case friendly units within 6" of that unit gain +2 to casting rolls.
Cleaving Blow: This model may suffer -1 attack to gain +2 Rend on any melee weapon it attacks with during the combat phase. If any model in a unit does this then all of them must. Note that models with only 1 attack may not do this.
Demon: This model may never be reduced to worse than a 6+ save. Models with this rule may often have a sub-type in brackets, this will interact with other rules.
Demonic Challenge: Enemy Hero models within 3" of a model with this rule may only make attacks against models with this rule.
Duellist: This model may treat any weapon that does not have Large Weapon as a Light Weapon.
Flurry of Blows: For each hit roll of a 6 or more, this model may make an extra attack with the same weapon. This attack can result in more attacks through this rule.
Gift: This rule will have another special rule within brackets at the end. Any friendly units within 3" of a model with this ability gain the ability in brackets.
Hordeslayer: This model's attacks gain Reaping.
Inspirational: Whilst a model with this rule is on the battlefield, any friendly unit may re-roll any failed bravery tests.
Kingslayer: If all of this model's attacks target a Hero then it may re-roll all failed wound rolls, and increases the damage of those attacks to 3.
Large Fighter: This unit may ignore the effects of Large weapon.
Large Weapon: A unit may not benefit from a Shield of any type whist it is equipped with a large weapon.
Light Weapon: A model equipped with two light weapons may double their attacks when attacking with one.
Limited Magic: This model may only know spells from the lore presented as part of this rule.
Loremaster: This unit may attempt to cast a second spell in each magic phase. This attempt suffers a -2 penalty to the casting roll, and may be the same spell as cast earlier in the phase.
Magic Adept: This unit may attempt to cast spells as described in the Magic Rules.
Magic Initiate: This unit may attempt to cast spells as described in the Magic Rules.
Master of the Night Skies: Instead of selecting a Lore of Magic to know spells from, this model automatically knows all spells from the Lore of Stars, and in each Magic Phase, may attempt to cast each once. In addition, if this model is slain, all friendly models with the Demon (Astral) rule must take a battleshock test as if they had suffered a number of casualties equal to half the current number of models in that unit (rounding up).
Reach: A weapon with reach is considered to have a range of 2".
Reaping: When a model attacks with a weapon with this ability may make one attack against each model within range rather than it's normal number of attacks.
Resilient: Each time a model with this rule would be slain, roll a dice. On the result of a 6 that model is instead reduced to 1 remaining wound.
Starfall: Once per game, at the start of the Magic Phase, you may declare that this model will call down a star. If you do, this model may not attempt to cast any spells this phase and you may select a point on the battlefield within 18" of this model. Roll a dice for every model within 12" of that point, on a 3+ that model takes a mortal wound. For any Hero models, roll 3 dice instead. Friendly models may re-roll the dice.
Swooping Leap: This model may move over friendly models when it makes a charge.
Translocate: At the end of the Movement Phase a unit with this rule may select a friendly unit within 6" and may remove that unit from the battlefield and set it up within 6" of any other unit with this rule. Each unit with this rule may use it a number of times equal to the number in brackets.
Warlord: This unit must be your General. Your army may only ever include a single Warlord.    

Army Abilities

A Renegade Strike Force army has access to the following Army Ability, and may select the Astral Focus or Oni Focus as long as it contains a model with the Warlord and Demon (Astral) or Demon (Oni) rules respectively.  

Renegade Army Ability

All models with this rule gain the following
If a model with the Demon (Oni) rule does not move in it's Movement Phase, it may add 1 to it's attacks characteristic until it's next Movement Phase.
Each time a Hero with the Demon (Oni) rule kills an enemy Hero it may immediately make melee attacks as if in the Combat Phase, even if it has already done so.
At the end of each Combat Phase each unit with the Demon (Astral) rule may move 1".
Each time a Hero with the Demon (Astral) rule is selected as part of the Translocate rule it may heal a wound.

Renegade Demon Focus
