Ascension of the Stormlords

Thunderbirds submit to the bridle, and Stormcallers develop their craft.

Lyra Bilar manages to unlock the storm within, linking her moods to the weather and the capricious storms of the highlands. She becomes the first Stormcaller, elevating her flock of Kestrai to new heights. Simultaneously, a young hunter named Irhaal tames a Thunderbird, elevating his flock, the Pandion. The Pandion and the Kestrai become allies rather than risk mutual destruction, and with their combined strength under the leadership of Accipiter, first of his Nest, unify the quarreling flocks of the highlands into the Stormlords.
