Minotaur Greatbow

The minotaur greatbows qualify as small ballistae for any other race. They come in two variants, a recurve version for rangers, and a longbow version for hunters and archer battalions.
Years of training are required to use one accurately, but once mastered, it is a formidable weapon.

Significance

The ranger variant stands 2.4 meters tall, with a draw weight of 250 lbs, owing to its recurve construction. It has an accurate range of 450 meters, and a maximum range of 600 meters. While the army variant is mass produced by the bowyers of The Moot, the ranger variant is often personalized for each individual ranger with ornamentation denoting the bow's owner.

Rarity

Unique to the Western Steppes, as Minotaurs are the only ones with the strength to use them.
