When born Kitsune children look like oversized fox puppies. By five years old their bodies have changed into a humanoid from. They reach adulthood at 20, and can live up to 200 years.

Kitsune prefer the warm forrests of Wilder, but are very resourceful and can adapt to almost any environment.

Gender Ideals

Kitsune do not have any gender ideals whatsoever. Men and Women are treated exactly the same.

Courtship Ideals

Kitsune courtship is a quick, if rare, affair. When two tribes cross paths rampent "speed dating" will ensue among the unmarried. They have a week to decide if they want to marry someone from the other tribe. The Kitsune have no concept of divorce, and once married you are married for life.

Relationship Ideals

Kitsune like people who are trustworthy, but also don't mind having pranks pulled on them.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

Kitsune deeply honor their ancestors. They regularly make pilgrimages to the ruins of their former capital, and occasionally travel across the sea to visit their race's birthplace, the Fox's Cradle.

Speaking badly of ancestors is believed to bring bad luck.

History

Kitsune were created during the second phase of creation, but were quickly removed from Middiador and placed on Wilder instead. Over the years they discovered ways to magically travel back to their birthplace. Many travel to Middiador to pay homage to their ansestors and a few choose to stay on the old continent long term.
On Wilder the Kitsune quickly rose to dominance, creating a powerful empire. However, wars and internal turmoil tore the nation appart and they were almost wiped off of the face of the earth. Today Kitsune of Wilder live in nomadic tribes.
