The Ritherian Plague

The plague wiped out almost 10% of Ritheria, of which 97% were peasants.

The plague was spread by touch, and when it was discovered was prevented from spreading more by quarantine. However, unfortunately it took about a week for the symptoms to show, so by this time it had already spread a long way.   The plague had an 80% mortality rate, and was a long, incredibly painful death. Upon its completion, many children had become orphans.
