Goblin

Brief Overview

Goblins are elves that corrupted their bodies through the overuse of chaos magick. They were cursed by Mizupollia and Mumos to live forever, looked down upon by all other creatures, including themselves.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Goblins have the same anatomy as elves, except they do not have wombs.

Genetics and Reproduction

Goblins are not able to reproduce due to the corruption of their bodies through chaos magick.

Growth Rate & Stages

Nearly all goblins look to be the same age as adult or elder elves. This is because elves are only able to transform into goblins once they reach adulthood. However, goblins do not age. The transformation into goblin-hood is a slow process that is irreversible. The first signs of transformation are a change in temperament and skin tone.

Ecology and Habitats

Goblins need to live in dark places as sunlight easily causes blisters to form on their skin. They also prefer humid environments. The majority of goblins in the Mystical Realm live in the Primordial Greenwood, which is a bog. They tend to live in burrows.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Goblins require a lot of protein, fat, and fiber. They mostly eat venison, but will also eat different types of fowl and plants high in fiber. They are exclusively hunter-gatherers.

Biological Cycle

Goblins hibernate during the winter.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Goblins have long, thin pointed ears and elongated, hooked noses. Their chins tend to be rather protruding as well. Their eyes do not have any visible sclera.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Goblins live mostly in the Primordial Greenwood, though a few live in the Faerie Kingdom and others live in the Tartarus Mountains.

Average Intelligence

Goblins have the same intelligence level as elves.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Goblins have enhanced senses, just as elves do. They can only use chaos magick.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Goblins have similar naming traditions to elves, however their surnames are generally the Latin name of the flower that represented their family name when they were elves.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Goblins speak Elvish and all the dialects that come with it, as well as Tartarian. Higher ranking goblins also speak Fae.

History

Goblins are unique creatures in the Mystical Realm. They do not have any means to reproduce as they are elves that have corrupted themselves from extreme use of chaos magick. Because of their willing corruption of themselves, goblins are looked down upon by virtually all other species.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Goblins do not interact with other species very often. They will interact with faeries and daemons as some of them live in the homes of those creatures. Goblins despise elves due to their heritage and the elves viewing themselves as highly superior to the goblins.   Goblins tend to hunt deer, rabbits, and jackalopes, but will hunt other animals as well. Goblins will even eat elves.
