Voidwalker

Void Walkers. A nomadic species millennia-old that have never themselves had a single physical realm to call their own, Their homes instead lie on all planes of existence and in between them, the “void” as you may call it. Able to slip between whatever realm they wanted. They were very peaceful(unless trifled with) and wise race, and valued honesty above all else. One unique trait of their species is that once they mate, they will mate for life. They were an abundant race for millennia, that is, until the fracture. When the world was shattered, any void walker that was not on the human plane, was stuck. Those in other realms were unable to leave them, and those that were left in between were slowly driven mad. Many of the worlds closest to the Home World persecuted and killed Void walkers, blaming their ability to slip between the fabric of reality to be the reason why the fracture occurred in the first place. As the realms grew further and further from home, they became progressively more alright with the existence of these creatures. However, on one of the outermost realms, the Void Walkers were taken pity on by the race that inhabited this world. Taught them the ways of civilization, and that was their biggest downfall. As the VW saw what was happening to their kin on the inner realms, they took a stand. Overtaking the species that had given them mercy and giving them an ultimatum, either perish or be enslaved. And they chose death. The VW that were left on earth were “Lucky.” Humankind was still practically primal, and now without any looming threats to their species, it was almost like they were lost. The VW took to helping them, teaching them how to be hunters and gatherers. They worked hand in hand with one another peacefully. That is until humanity decided they no longer wanted to wander and settled down. Building civilizations and truly beginning to develop minds. As time went on they began to “evolve.” Taking on traits that gave them camouflage and appear as human beings in order to blend in. Becoming a secret part of the world.
