Mortals
The humans of Eyf Melar commonly go by the appellation of "mortals". Presumably, this was to differentiate themselves from Immortals such as the Aossi though this is now thought to be superstitious nonsense perpetuated by children's fables.

Ferrians have a Birthname (their first name), a Bloodname (their surname), and a rank within the Echelon of the Mighty Host. This is both their military caste and how high they have risen with the society.

Major Organizations
Their government is the City-State of Ferrus that controls the Iron Territory, but their are many other orders within the Echelon. There are guilds like the Smiths of Ferrus, the Vault-Keepers, or the City Engineers, but there are also the Warbands. These are a factions of warriors that band together for a common cause. These act as mercenaries, outriders for the Territory, and serve as a means of training up the next generatin of fierce warriors.
History
The Ferrians hale from a nomadic military force called the Mighty Host. When they conquered the citadel of the Peakmen, their people decided to settle down. This was the origin of the City-State of Ferrus. Since that time, the Ferrians have been through many conflicts, trials, and changes. Over the centuries, they have become less barbaric and more civilized though they are still feared in Eyf Melar as a dangerous folk with a a short temper barely kept in check.
