New Canaan
New Canaan is a town in the Salt Lake region, neighboring the settlements of New Jerusalem and New Bethlehem. It is a satellite of New Jerusalem, mainly acting as a food producer for its bigger neighbor.
History
New Canaan was founded as colony of the settlement of New Jerusalem, created due to the growing lack of space in the city. They settled in the ruined city of Ogden, UT, using some leftover resources from the Mormon bunker and the bigger city of New Jerusalem. New Canaan is now mainly used to produce food to support the Mormon population, mainly corn, cabbage, and raising sheep.
The people of New Canaan and Jerusalem share a common ancestry and heritage, and are closely allied.
Natural Resources
Ogden has fertile soils, making it a prime place to produce food products. They are the breadbaskets of the Mormon population surrounding the Great Salt Lake, producing nearly 40% of their food.
