The Divine
The Divine is both the patron god of Exapolis, and the only apparent god of Thane. Worship of the Divine by following its tenets is sufficient to be bestowed powers of golden light, allowing townspeople to create brilliant light sources from thin air, and imbue lasting enchantments in objects.
From what is observed by Exapolitans is that the powers granted are independent of the hopes and desires of the individual, but are purely based on by how much the tenets are upheld. People who go against the tenets will see their powers fade twice as fast as they came about. Additionally, formation of a faction in order to greatly uphold the tenets on a larger scale (providing free services to locals, spreading the Divine faith) is a way to acquire formidable powers, spread over the members of a faction from the top to the bottom of the hierarchy. The head of the faction will be granted the strongest magic, whereas workers performing mundane tasks at the bottom will acquire little more than what they could get by upholding the tenets alone.

Tenets of Faith
Worship of the Divine can be limited to two simple rules:
- Do good unto other Exapolitans,
- Spread the influence of the Divine.
Powers granted
Worship of the Divine and the following of the core tenets provide powers of light, and enchantment of objects.Light
The light powers conferred by the Divine can be simple light sources from a worshipper's hand or more complex light shows, as 2D images projected on a surface or fully 3D (but silent) illusions. These powers can also be used as rudimentary weapons - the stronger beams of light can burn or even cut if they are focused properly. This kind of use of Divine powers requires faction support; solitary worship is not enough to provide powers of this level.Enchantment
All manner of simple enchantments can be imbued into object with Divine influence. Common enchantments involve levitation similar to magnetism, reinforcement of fragile objects, imbuement of peculiar properties in items made of cobalt. Enchantment requires several hours of meditation or concentration with the object.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
