Exapolis
Demographics
In the centre of the city, population is varied but consists primarily of dwarves and humans; the only common species rarely encountered in the centre is elves. Different regions of the outskirts are populated by different local species, all of which minorities can be found in the centre. Power is not measured in wealth so much as in the member count of a faction.
Government
The town is run through a form of tense cooperation between factions. Currying the favour of the Divine in order to perform useful supernatural tasks prevents citizens from performing misdeeds most of the time - any powers provided by the Divine are proportional to how forthcoming a denizen is. Because of this, different factions perform different tasks for the public free of charge; certain goods, military defense from outsiders and a large transport infrastructure are provided to the public free of charge - trade consists almost exclusively of expensive luxuries
Infrastructure
Basic goods such as food is provided free of charge by different factions, each specialising in an individual requirement.
Architecture
The Centre is made up of seemingly unending cobalt bridges, towers and arches in every direction, riddled with glowing golden radium lights. It is not uncommon to come across public and private parks, rare patches of green in the maze of starry blue metal.
Geography
Russian grasslands dotted with forests and lakes. West: empty plains cut off by mountain range. SW: mountain range reaches Exapolis outskirts. S: other nation. E: other nation. N: sea
Natural Resources
The City was built upon a colossal cobalt deposit, which has been a massive source of building material. In the current day the city stretches down into the exhausted cobalt mines, and the old tunnels and chasms are now teeming with inhabitants for several kilometres down. Cobalt (or indeed any building substance) is becoming rarer in the centre of town, and endless expeditions are sent into the depths of the earth in the hopes of finding veins.
The Centre's most common and most valuable resource is the radium harvested through the City's sunlight converters and condensers, raised above the Veil itself into the clouds.
