Ria Hearthfire is a halfling woman in her early 30's, the head engineer of the East Exapolis Express. The EEE is a single train line from the outer eastern regions of the city all the way to the Centre. The Express prides itself in having her as an employee, possibly because of her eccentric work practices - in her youth she was a gymnast, like many halflings, and still uses what she learned to jump and climb about her latest train she's working on. Although what truly makes her a valuable asset to the Express is her expertise in her field, rivaled by only a handful of Exapolitans.
Ria would often to compliment people on their skill or altruism, but moderately low confidence in social scenarios make her work her primary focus. Most of the time, she is reserved and keeps to herself with people she isn't familiar with.
However she has a weak spot for action, risk and adventure - on the rare occasion she can perform daring, heroic feats she gets a massive confidence boost, allowing her opening up more. On "adventurous" days she does also become impulsive and reckless, seeking ever more action despite material consequence. This never results in anyone being hurt (physically or emotionally), as kindness is first and foremost for her.
On her days off, she takes great pleasure in woodworking and bread-baking.
