Zandyssa is a mid-20s female yuan-ti rogue. With long coppery hair and cold green eyes, she is a striking figure, extremely charming, albeit somewhat aloof. She was raised and trained in the skills of the courtesan and has proven herself adept in the arts of seduction, espionage, theft, and political intrigue. Unhindered by traditional ethics or moral compass, she feels no compunction about plying her trade- seeing others as merely pawns in the game of power and influence, caring little about the destruction left in her wake. That is, until recently.
Tasked with garnering military secrets, she seduced a young soldier who, when he discovered how he had been tricked into betraying his regiment, killed himself. Unfortunately for Zandyssa, he was the younger son of a powerful sorceress who unleashed her grief and fury by cursing Zandyssa to feel the torment, physical and mental, that her victims endured. Having never experienced mental anguish before, Zandyssa was thrown and sought a remedy for the curse. She learned the only hope to lift it was to devote herself to helping others for a full year and a day. Though altruism is not in her nature, finding herself unable to ply her trade effectively, she is seeking to join a band of travelers in hopes that she may find some way to unravel the curse.
