Lustross
Lustross lies across the ocean north of Eaine, with the port city of Eldershore just two days from Cai in fair weather. A country of humans and dwarves, it is famed for its skill in working astrolith. Astroliths are a special kind of meteor, containing substances with magical properties which can be worked into all kinds of useful items. Or y'know, just turn people into monsters (e.g. iridilith.)

It's a bit like Skyrim. Or Norway. Yup.
History
Some 2000 years ago, King Silverbeard of Lustross came under the sway of Koach, Queen of Conquerors. With her aid he had conquered his neighbours and was preparing to invade Cai when, having no further use for him, Koach failed to alert the king to a blade in the dark and he was killed.
