Temple of Eldath

The Temple of Eldath is a large marble structure found in the north eastern corner of Quiet Forest. In the past it was home to a large congregation of the Druids of Eldath with this temple as the central place of worship. The Temple of Eldath would be filled with worshippers and travellers alike and filled Quiet Forest with the bright healing energy of Eldath. After the druids left the forest the temple has been left and eventually found itself infested with undead creatures coming from the catacombs underneath. With the entire temple claimed by these dark forces their vileness has started spreading across Quiet Forest driving away both travelling and animals alike.

Purpose / Function

Built by druids out of respect for Eldath. This particular elvish druid clan lived in Quiet Forest and used the temple to help the forest grow and be a lovely place for all the local fauna. They welcomed travellers as long as they respected their forest and it wasn't uncommon for other druids to come and pay their respects.

Denizens

In the past the temple was filled with worshippers and travellers seeking refuge from the forest. Since the Druid of Eldath left Quiet Forest the temple has slowly gone to ruin until it's last Caretaker Dae could no longer safely travel there. Now it is home to many undead creatures who taint the surrounded area in their foul death grip.

Hazards & Traps

Normally the Temple of Eldath is free of traps as only undead reside here. When Grif uses the temple as a place to hide he sets up the traps the PCs come across.

Architecture

Great marble temple. Has many water sources within it including wall waterfalls, large pools. Entire ground level has water trenches along every corridor and room. Lower levels are more practically built to suit purposes. Lowest level are just catacombs built into the earth. The vast majority of the temple is now in ruins and the forest has started to claim it with ivy adoring most walls. The water features are all putrid and stagnant which makes the entire temple smell awful.
