Druids of Eldath
Structure
The High Priest and Priestess lead the circle and are picked from among the oldest and wisest. Priests would report to them on occasion but most followers travel from one gathering to another to learn from as many priests as possible. Major religious holidays are always conducted by the High Priest and Priestess at the Temple of Eldath in Quiet Forest as it is the central holy site in this region. Beneath the priests are acolytes who spend much of their time learning and researching while attending prayer and helping with the general goodwill of the circle. Goodwill includes providing for travellers and other followers along with maintaining the surrounding forest and tending to animals in need.
Tenets of Faith
Above everything followers of Eldath are required to be pacifists. The protection of sources of water, especially pools, streams and groves is the next priority. Followers are encouraged to help others and animals heal and give them comfort when it is needed. Compassion is an important virtue. Finally self-reflection through meditation is part of good practises to better know oneself and encourage self improvement.
Worship
Meditation near or in any water source is the most common form of worship as it can be done almost anywhere. Prayer is once a day at a time that is picked by the individual after much personal reflection. While at holy sites like the Temple of Eldath followers are welcomed to take a cleansing bath to rid them of the woes of the world. Afterwards they can leave offerings of objects that create discord or promote violence within the offering pools, riding themselves of the influence these objects may have on them. Broken weapons, objects that have cause disagreements and gold pieces are common offerings.
