Light Hammer

A light hammer was a blunt weapon developed from simple tools. Light hammers could be thrown and were often wielded in pairs.

Types of Light Hammers

Block Hammers

Block hammers were a variant of light hammers favored by dwarves. They featured a short grip, at most a foot long, with a large block-shaped hammer head at the top.

Jitte

The jitte was a blunt weapon that closely resembled a dagger, save for its lack of blade or edge. A jitte had a wrapped wooden handle and featured a short, thin, and blunt metal rod that was used to bludgeon. Primarily used in areas where bladed weapons were banned, the jitte also featured a hook used to disarm or grapple enemies. It was a preferred weapon of monks.

Pick Hammers

Pick hammers were light hammers that, rather than featuring a single block head, had a smaller peening head backed with a sharpened pick on top of a foot-and-a-half long haft. These variants of light hammers are favored by many craftsmen.
