Zombies

Zombies are the most common undead, they simply are reanimated bodies. Not to be confused with resurrection which requires the soul of the original recipient body. Zombies are just empty bodies being moved and controlled by dark magic essence similarly to skeletons, but they require far less essence then them, specifically they require less essence the fresher the body is.
Again, just like the skeletons, the exact method of reanimation is known only by seasoned necromancers.

Anatomy

They share the features of the carcass, but it seems that the decomposition process is at least halted, but the stench exuded by the body is still very much present.
