Insight Incentives
A company that split off from Systome Incorporated, Insight Incentives makes it profits off of scouring planets for knowledge.
Insight Incentives contracts teams of "Seekers" to gather new technology, practices, and expertise from across the stars. These can range from prospecting new planets for ruins, to scouring existing ones for the best the planet has to offer.
Insight Incentive is a strange bunch of people.
They can either be phsyco's who'll murder you for a book, or talent agents looking to schmooze up to the best Monoliths they can find.
Scouting by the Acre
Insight Incentives works off a contracting basis. There are two different models of payment. One model is for newly discovered worlds, and the other is for worlds which are more populated.
Fresh Planets
One of Insight Incentives divisions focuses on scouting out new planets for knowledge and learnings that have been left buried by The Melancholic Lacuna. These people are more rugged, being some of the first to try and conquer dangerous landscapes for the hope at a good payment.
Contractors are payed a flat rate per acre scouted. They are encouraged to look for knowledge or other natural rescources that Insight can then sell.
These scouts can earn a bonus with each discovery, which is where the real money can be.
Skill Licensing
The other division of Insight Incentives focuses more akin to a talent agency. Individual contractors spread themselves through the stars, looking for talent of any genre or practice.
These agents will approach potential knowledge sources, and attempt to license their knowledge to be transcribed and sent to Systome Incorporated for use in their libraries.
Hunger for Information
Insight spawned off the continously growing company that was Systome Incorporated. With Hepburn and Luncaster Group at the helm, the requirement for scaling information became a crucial element to the SysTome's success.
Collecting the knowledge needed was becoming too unwieldy for Systome Inc to handle, and so they spawned a subsidary company dedictated to discovering and collecting new methods for practices both niche and generic.
Employment Types
This is the contract used for new planet adventuring. These are paid by acre, with bonuses for finds.
These can be team contracts or individuals. There are not many benefits as this is a very dangerous and cut-throat position.
Talent specialists operate on developed worlds. These are established posititons, with each having their own talent that they seek.
There can be anywhere from dozens to hundreds of talent specialists assigned to one world. They are paid by the head and the value of the knowledge they can gain.
