A form of hard iron created using high carbon and heat fuels. Though brittle compared to Wrought Iron, Cast Iron is still a fairly common material and often more valuable than wrought iron. Cast Iron is used to produce pots, silverware, weapons, armor, and all sorts of parts.

  • Items made with this can’t be broken on a break item check under a DC 17.
  • Magnetic
  • The item moves double the distance when under the effects of the magnetized condition, deals more damage on connect with the target, and the target has disadvantage to remove the target from themselves.

History & Usage

Refinement

Pig iron (high carbon iron) must be smelted using a high heat fuel. Otherwise, it is quite similar to the production of Wrought Iron.
