Aluminum
Tier: 0
Complexity: 2
Crafting Time
A silvery-white material known for its lightness and incredible annoyance to craft with, Aluminum is one of the few non-magnetic metals. Due to its durability, Aluminum is heavily sought after, especially for alloys, as alloying the material makes for incredibly strong alloys. By itself, Aluminum is fairly malleable.
Properties
Physical & Chemical Properties
- Light
- No strength requirement or hindrance for any armor or item made with it.
- Ammunition made of this material can be shot double the distance than normal, but attacks with the ammo has disadvantage to hit.
- Items made of this material weigh half their normal weight.
- Cantankerous
- This material is incredibly volatile, causing the target to have disadvantage on a check used to make this item. (cancels with Malleable)
- Malleable
- When making an item out of this material, you have advantage on the check. (cancels with Cantankerous)
- Additionally, the crafted item has disadvantage on break item checks, but advantage to repair the item.
- Mixing Strength
- Any alloy made of this material loses its malleable trait and gains the following:
- Strong
- Items made of this material have advantage on break item checks.
- Hard I
- Crafter has a -1d4 to checks to work this material
- Items made with this can’t be broken on a break item check under a DC 17.

Origin & Source
The ore for Aluminum is known as Bauxite. This material is heavily processed, changing it into alumina or corundum. It is then dissolved in molten cryolite to create the pure material.
