Malikir
Epitaphs: The Velvet Queen, The Usurper, The Great Inversion
Known as the most powerful of the Arch Daemons, Malikir presides over tyrants and corrupted heroes. She promises power, fame, and dominion to those who give themselves to her. However, as her insignia suggests, all who rise in her favor will eventually come to a terrible fall.Malikir ruins the goodhearted, as even heroes that start with the best intentions can fall prey to her wiles as they grow to believe in their own legend. She has driven friends to fight each other and rulers to wage war in the name of national pride. Malikir is a towering figure of ebony, undulating flesh, with an inverted triangular head and long arms that end in claws.
P. 193 Grim Hollow Campaign GuideThe Arch Daemon of Pride prefers the title “God”. As the most powerful of the Arch Daemons, her domain is tyranny and the abuse of authority. She is known to corrupt heroes who start out as goodhearted but eventually give in to pride. Inevitably, her followers meet a terrible fall.
Malikir considers her counterpart, Morael, as a weakling and not even worth mentioning.
P. 35 Grim Hollow Players GuideMalikir, like Morael, was a servent of the God of Love Vetara. Unlike Morael, Malikir did not choose to serve the 4 remaining Gods, nor did she fight in the Gods' End War. Instead, she sought to become the new God of Love. This was seen by the Angels who moved to serve the remaining gods as transgressive and arrogant. Prideful, even. When the remaining Gods died, Malikir was the first to attempt to unify the heavens, as she was the only one who had experience re-establishing a connection to their chosen domain. She named herself the head of this pantheon, as she was and is the strongest. As we all know, the heavens did not unite. Angels split into Seraphs and Daemons and war ceaselessly. No one knows how diplomacy failed, but Malikir is vilified by the Arch Seraphs to this day.
