Dwarves have an uncannily strong constitution developing as they did in the harsh climates of mountains, caves, and underground caverns. Standing no more than 5 feet tall, dwarves tend toward a more stocky build which often means they weigh as much as a human or elf two foot or more taller.   Dwarven skin tones range from shades of brown and red, to a light tan colour. Hair is usually worn long and in shades of black, brown and grey. In males, facial hair grows extremely quickly and it is rare to find a dwarf with less than six inches of beard. Female dwarves too grow facial hair, often in wispier or finer styles and generally only two to three inches long with little to no hair on the upper lip.   Dwarves tend to organise themselves into large family groups known as clans. Clan names tend to represent their standing within the larger dwarven culture. Frequently clans who fall from popularity or shame dwarven culture are forced to take embarrassing clan names usually representative of this fact (i.e. Clan Rubbleweak) few dwarves will then wish to remain part of this clan and seek membership of other clans to wash themselves of the disgrace.
