The year Heston took a refugee boy from Atrad under his wing and named him Patmos.

A few years after Heston's election to the office of Provincial of Denimos, a boy from Atrad who called himself Scheros broke into his home, trying to steal a candelabrum and earn his place in a gang. Heston caught him, but offered the boy a job as a servant instead of being sent to prison. The boy accepted, and Heston went on to adopt the boy as his own son after seeing the hidden set of talents he had, and named him Patmos.
