During my childhood, I loved to play fantasy RPGs, specifically JRPGs like Final Fantasy and the like. One of my favorite games as a kid was called Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. I stumbled on it by accident, picking it up randomly at the video rental place near my house. My whole family got so hooked on this game during a rental period, we just told the place we lost it and paid the $60 fee. We still have a working SNES and the physical copy of the game that my uncle plays almost on the daily.

I want to take the world I was introduced to and expand it dramatically, and I couldn't think of a better way to do that then to adapt it for play with the D&D 5e ruleset. BE WARNED: This is not a faithful recreation of the game. It has been massively overhauled to include many of the races, monster, deities, etc. present in the forgotten realms and other major WotC universes.

My goal in creating this universe is to make something that is alive. I want a world with a rich and diverse storyline that progresses around the players, not just a static world, waiting to be interacted with. As you play through your time in this place, forces outside of the player's control and knowledge will be working on their own agendas. If the PCs never existed, the world would play out without them. This by no means invalidates the choices they make. In fact, it should enhance the experiences. Every NPC is meant to feel alive and full of their own motivation, and the PC's interactions will have a rippling impact on the world.

With a overworld map size of 16,777,216mi², and a land mass of almost 3.5 million square miles, there is almost no end to the places you can explore!

PS: I don't own Lufia, Estopolis, Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons and Dragons or any of the source material I am using to construct this universe. At best, I am taking the ideas and creations of people who are WAY smarter and more creative than me and trying to create a fun place to play. I am not trying to make money off of this at the moment, so feel free to use the world as much as you want. Maybe someday I can get in touch with the right people to make this happen on a larger or more official scale.
