In the Beginning
Before time, there was an all powerful being named Arek the Absolute. He had always been, and would always be. He was unchanging. He was alone and in meditation when he noticed the presence of something else. He was delighted to find that from the swirling chaotic energies around him, some sort of consciousness had emerged. They flowed and grew in unique and beautiful ways. He sat and watched for a time, content at merely observing the constant change.
After an unfathomable time, Arek decided play a game. He wanted to see if he could create something greater than himself. He sat with his left hand in his lap, and reached his right hand out into the void.
He created two multiverses, one in each palm. The Dextral is the multiverse we know. Created in his right hand, the multiverse was diverse and magnificent. Arek filled it with pockets of life strewn across the planes, and seeded it with dozens of his offspring with the chaos. Those offspring became the deities and the progenitors of all life in the multiverse, The eldest being Ao, The Overgod.
Contained in Arek’s left hand was The Sinistral. Unlike our multiverse, Arek seeded only a single planet here with 10,000 of his kind's asexually produced offspring. Each of them had incredible physical power, intelligence and was functionally immortal. Modeled in the image of the one who created them, it was a realm of gods.
Their society was a utopian meritocracy, ruled by the first 4 children of Arek and the oldest of their race, known as The Left Handed Gods. Gades - The Reshaper, Amon - The Orator, Erim - The Invigorator, and Daos - The Proud. His eldest child, Daos, once loved to watch the exploits of the Dextral Word. He had observed our progress from the dawn of time. He saw as the diverse children of Arek flourish and populate the multiverse they had been given. He watched them grow and change, and slowly forget about their father. The chaos eventually eroded the memories of all of Arek’s Dextral children, save for Ao. Unbound by the knowledge of the creator, they began to deify themselves, which infuriated Daos. He begged his father to allow him to prove their superiority over the Dextral races. Arek promised Daos that when the time was right, he would allow them to challenge the Dextral plane.
