Zurit

Description

Zurites often occurs in color variations of blue, purple and green. Rarely there are yellowish and reddish colorations and white zurites are the rarest and correspondingly more expensive. They come in different sizes but rarely have a diameter larger than 3 cm.

Effects

A zurit has a natural luminosity, but it is not particularly strong. The light is only sufficient to illuminate a small area, such as a book page, to the extent that it is legible. Placed in a small room, it illuminates it to such an extent that large objects can be seen very faintly and walking against them is prevented.

Using

They are used by the poor population to prevent them from running into anything inside their dwellings at night. They are also used in prisons to light up the corridors.

Where to find them

Zurites can be found in gemstone mines near the more luminous Zurine. They are usually the offshoots of zurin veins and, proportionally speaking, there are at least three times as many zurites per vein as zurines.
