Twelve Trees

The land of Twelve Trees is a vast country with a diverse group of inhabitants. The cornerstone of the society is the mystic crystal deposits in the earth. There are twelve concentrated deposits scattered across the country. With the high concentration of crystals combined with their magic properties have caused the trees planted above them to grow to an immeasurable height. These trees, known as Great Trees, have attracted settlers and have become the pillar of the main religion of the country, The Following. Followers believe the crystals and the Great Trees are gifts from their deity, The Eternal and must not be meddled with for fear of angering him and suffering his wrath. There are four different colors of crystal, Blustone, Greenstone, Yellowstone, and Violetdust. Each has a different magic property that has been mined and utilized by the nearby inhabitants. With most of the regions working together in harmony, there are some tensions that have been building between some. Foxboro being the largest city with the largest army, they are the powerhouse of Twelve Trees.   The twelve large cities in the country are, Foxboro / Freedom Colony / Seven Oaks / Fallen Timbers / Guernseydale/ Edenbrook / Westlake / Brookser Mining Colony / Olde Sawmill / Woodstream / Creek Run / McDot Farms/

History

A past conflict between Foxboro and Fallen Timbers lead the latter to close their region off to the rest of the country. No contact with Fallen Timbers has made Foxboro very nervous and has increased the number of guards on the exterior walls and the inner city. The inner walls, surrounding the Fortress is completely closed to everyone. Having also had a conflict with the nearby Freedom Colony, their problems seemed to be put to rest, at least from Freedom Colony’s perspective. The area north of the mountains is known as The Far North and it’s home to the mysterious beings known as The Shroud. No one ventures north of the mountains as the only way is through a large keep controlled by Dwarves who are unwilling to risk their home in the forest by opening the gate. With Foxboro’s desire to gain control of the country in an effort to neutralize the threat of Fallen Timbers, they’ve begun spreading propaganda and ambassadors to attempt to draw the other regions under Foxboro control. As Foxboro asserts control and preparing for potential war with Fallen Timbers, something is brewing that no one saw coming.
