Human

Humans are the most dominant race to emerge on Eridena after the Shift. They were created as a slave race by the High Elves thousands of years ago. During the century before the Shift began the High Elves' new difficulty with magic made them vulnerable and the humans were the first first race to rebel against their oppressors.
Since returning to the surface thousands of years ago humans have bred and spread quickly due to their short lifespans compared with most other races. This short life span also leaves humans with a tenacity for life unmatched in the other races and has allowed them to become the most dominant race. Initially created to be incapable of wielding magic this has changed over the millennia and now human magic-users are reinventing the arcane arts.
