The Attack of the Fallen God and the Disappearance of Ninfena

Disaster / Destruction

400B. G.

Brother fights sister, and a prophecy begins to form.

Iluminum, corrupted by the power of darkness, became known as Obscurium, the Fallen God, and rose in open rebellion against his sister. They then fought a terrible battle, where each invoked greater powers against the other. In the end, the goddess Ninfena prevailed over her brother, and he returned wounded to the moon of Notorië.   Ninfena was then disappointed and bitter about what had happened to her brother. She went on to blame herself for what had happened to him, and the sadness consumed her. In the end, she became only a shadow of the goddess that had once been, and all the people of Eridania were saddened by it.   Then she finally went to the land of Ilumidia, where her children, the Ancient Spirits, lived. She warned the Guardians to watch over Eridania, and to intervene in case the world is in danger. Ninfena then sealed her power in an orb, which she delivered to her eldest daughter, Isis, saying:

The time will come, a time of shadows and despair, that a heroine will become necessary. She will be the heir of my own blood. Separate and hide these powers, and when the time comes, the girl will find them. The girl will then do what I've never been able to do. She will defeat the great evil of this universe, and once again unite light and shadows in balance.
— Ninfena
Then the goddess walked towards the stars and left this universe forever. She returned to the place where all the gods come from, and to where all of them must return one day.
