Starborn

The Starborn are sapient creatures that live in cities on the plains. They are prone to great ambition. They believe themselves to be descended from the stars themselves, and so they seek out knowledge about space and other worlds. They build large community structures out of wood, stone, sand, earth, glass, and metal. These structures serve as homes for their citizens, but also as places where they can gather and discuss matters of importance. The starborn have an affinity for metallurgy and are able to use it to fashion weapons and tools.

Legends say that in the Shrouded Age, the starborn came to Ereset from another world. The starborn are known for their scientific prowess. They often experiment with strange new technologies and have contributed greatly to the fields of alchemy and astrology.

Starborn can have children with many of the other sapient species on Ereset, leading them to have a wide range of heritages. Starborn present a wide range of physical features that correspond to their date of birth. For example, a starborn born in the summer of the year 589 might have antlers, and one born in the winter of year 1001 might have long pointy ears like a Testri. Each starborn ends up with a unique set of these traits that make them stand out.
