Urlen the Old

Urlen is the original inhabitant of the village now known as Lumberfell long before it was a village at all. It is not known how long he or his tower have been on the banks of Engleden's Run but it is rumored that Urlen was friends with Derric Engleden himself. Urlen is rarely seen outside his tower and if he is he speaks very little and just goes about his business. Urlen is as mysterious a person as there in in these parts. There are rumors that circulate the town about him constantly. Everyone in the town respects him although he has really done nothing to earn it other than to be an elder and appear mysterious. There are times when he is not seen for weeks or even months at a time. Strange people have been seen leaving his tower and occasionally unusual sounds and eerie lights can be seen coming from the small window at the top. Urlen was here when the town was founded. Oldef Thaner knew the tower was here and insisted that this place was safe and that Urlen was keen on having the village be established here. It has even been said that he paid for the construction of the first few buildings himself. Oldef and his family have little to say about Urlen other than it is best that he be left alone.
