Republic of Tirine

The Republic of Tirine was founded in 477. The idea was that several cities could accomplish more if they worked together rather than independently. Charter members included Denwick , Naththalas, Yenton, Tegel, and Enbrook. Over the years cities have been added, including Tarrin, Winham, Wayhill and location. These cities assist each other with defense, have open trade between each other and other common goals. There is a bi-annual assembly held that rotates cities, but there is an official headquarters in Tegel. Each city in the Republic has an equal vote and equal representation.

Structure

A loose republic of multiple cities on the continent of Erellion. Each city has two representatives that are sent from each member city to the bi-annual conferences. Each city has equal voting power on the council.

Public Agenda

Too promote trade, education, protection and other common goals among the cities of Erellion.

Assets

There is a small army of the Republic made up of troops from each city. This army is paid for by taxes from each city. When needed there are volunteers added to the army. The headquarters is located in Tegel, this is where the coffers are also located.

History

The Republic was formed in 477 by @Talmet Tirine. It was originally called the Republic of Erellion but the name was changed posthumously to it's current name. Talmet travelled tirelessly through the different cities of Erellion looking to unite them under a common banner. His idea was that together they could do more than they could do separately. The republic immediately created free trade between all member cities and also immediately formed a small standing army with representatives from each city. Each city houses a portion of the army which also accepts volunteers as needed.
