Report: A Deal with the Devil

After nearly joining the cult - the self-styled Students of Arcana - the Snapdragons discovered the plot to get them to join and thus pledge their souls to the Archdevil Mephistopheles. The mastermind behind this plot was Kallista! Unfortunately, she was able to escape and remains at large; given that she's already targeted the party (and failed), the Snapdragons should always be wary of her next plot.
On their way back to Choer Cliff Keep, the party stopped in a small village for a few days during the Dark Days when they met with some sort of fiend. It promised to provide a way for the former cultists to retain possession of their souls upon death, provided that the Snapdragons pursue a few special tasks on the fiend's employer's behalf.
Originally the fiend's contract required the Snapdragons members' souls as collateral, but was able to negotiate down to some of their more sentimental possessions with the additional benefit of some kind of fiendish favor.
While the Snapdragons pursue these tasks, the Students of Arcana have now promised their souls to the fiend's patron, the Archdevil Glasya. By doing so, they have lost their magical powers, and are now practicing the basics of wizardry by learning spells described by the bard Magigigika and the sorcerer Smulder. They are now continuing the journey to Choer Cliff where they will aid reconstruction until they have rooms enough to stay.
