Auric Plains
Auric Plains was formed from the former province of East Heed. The region is more arid than the rest of the Kingdom and is poor farmland. Rather it has many herdsman. Although the provinces has many seats, most are small, not much more than towns. The province is known for its mines. Although they mostly produce base metals, they are also known for some precious stones, especially red stones. The legends of finding garnets and rubies by miners are common. Looking for red in the Plains is a phrase describing a foolish choice. Due to the large size. and nomadic nature of the population the control of the region is low and it has been the site of many rebellions.
