Gate/Portal

No one is exactly certain who built the gates or when they were built but they are a remaining artifact from the period before the Second War. Many theorize that at one point they could reach more than one destination but that ability has either degraded over time or the knowledge of how to change/use them have been lost.

These devices are protected and guarded by the Gate Guardsmen.

Utility

To date (from players point of view) they have only been linked to one gate and never turned off save for the day of Meteor fall which began the campaign and LakePass gate was destroyed originally.

Social Impact

A huge social impact as it is main form of travel.

Access & Availability

There is one in each city and it is linked to one other sister city as far as people know. At current time LakePass gate is known to be destroyed.

Discovery

There has been one in every city for as long as the citizens have known there to be a city. A relic left over from the previous wars.
